Best of luck in the new year.
Dear Carol,
As far as i am concerned, ischemic is a diagnosis to be taken seriously and should only be used after this has been evaluated and determined via a stress test.
This is not to be taken lightly and I would ask your physician for a clarification and if they are concerned that you are "ischemic" the next step would be a stress test ( with an imaging study) to rule this in or out.
Best of luck!
Doctor,
Actually they told me I was Ischemic without any test! They just told me I was by my symptom description! Maybe I should not think I am Ischemic by their "assumptions". What do you think?
Thanks for replying.
ONly a stress test will determine if you are ischemic. I am assuming that this has been done and showed these results. The next step is generally a catheterization.
an echo or a carotid study will not show this.
I have already had a echo and a carotid doppler. Both came back fine. Would a blockage have shown up on those or do you still think there could be a problem somewhere requiring a cath?
Thank you.
Dear carol,
you should have this evaluated and i would recommend a cardiac catheterization. while this is more common in older people young people may develo0e blockages or have abnormal circulation from birth.
