Hey Man,

I have been having very similar symptoms. I have went to the doctor 2 times and have had 2 ekh's both show nothing. Blood pressure is fine. But my heart rate is cruzing 98-100 while I am sleeping and it gets only as low as like 76 at any time during the day. I feel like I have a rock on my chest ... It is really bad when I get up off a chair.

I am a power lifter to and I always thought I lifint to much weight however I relized it was because I get weak because my heart has such a horrible recovery rate. Takes like 10 mins to get down to 100. At any rate it is consuming me it is all I think about. Every one says if it is betweem 60-100 it is fine but. I dont feel fine though. I am thinking it may be thyroid related I have to wait to next week at ant rate to find out.

I can also see my stomach pulsate when I'm lying down or sitting...I've always had that; doesn't bother me.  I wish you peace; I know what it's like to be afraid.

I'mallheart,

I'll answer your questions in order.

(1)"... is this okay? could this be a reason foe some of the symptoms?"

None of these valve descriptions indicate significant pathology.  There is nothing in your [listed] echo report that concerns me at all.

(2)"also i am experiancing pulsation in abdomen,is this okay?"

Many young people have a palpable aorta.  It would be quite rare -- in fact I have never seen it -- for a young person without a connective tissue disease (such as Erhler's-Danlos) to suffer from a AAA.

(3)"also i can see on both sides of my neck my pulse, like it pumps out to my heart beat.is this normal?"

Many persone have visible arterial pulsations -- especially young, thin people.

(4)"would the echocardiogram and chest xray pick up if there was an annerysym in abdomen?"

No.

(5)"is there anything else i shpuld do? i know i do have some anxiety but lately i canteven sleep feel heart pounding, feel it all over and wondering if i should take another 25 mg of atenolol at night also?"

Your thyroid should be evaluated to ensure that you do not have hyperthyroidism.  After that, you should consider professional counseling.  The preoccupation with your health is very common for anxiety disorder and conversion disorder.  The statistical likelihood of you having a significant physical cardiovascular illness is extremely low.  Your preoccupation with your health is clearly becoming disruptive to your life and needs attention.

Good luck.
