15 mo post AF Ablation Chest Discomfort

I'm a 39 yo white male who underwent 3 PVI ablations in 2008 for rapid AFib.  The first two in a large community hospital in south Florida.  The third at Penn 11/2008.  During this procedure it was found that the abberant pathways were never 'disconnected' and further studies were done that not only identified AFib but also AFlutter.  After an 8 hr procedure I experienced the typical post-procedural chest pain for the next week or so that responded fine to NSAIDS.  I have been now 15 months out without recurrance and have been exercising consistantly since 2/2008. I have had minimal arrythmia symptoms, none sustained. I am on Lopressor 50 to 100 BID, depending on my rate.  ASA 325 started recently.  Within the past 2 weeks I have had a recurrance of chest discomfort similar to what I experienced after the previous procedures, which suprised me.  I do not have CP with exercise, no SOB.  Some discomfort at times to my neck.  For those who have had multiple ablations or an MD, are these symptoms common and what should be done?  I'm still waiting to hear back from my out of state EP.  Many thanks.  Blessings.  JD

Let me give you a reply to bump your post back to the top...there must be several people who post on this Community who have experiences to share...I am not one of them.

I do suffer from AFib, so I can relate on that point.   I have had heart surgery and a maze procedure, plus several cardio versions over the years, all were temporary conversions. I have not had an ablation and have been advised my symptoms are too easy to live with for me to take the risks associated with ablation, otherwise I would have had that experience too.
