I was put on Amiodarone because after the ablation I went into afib and also a very rapid heart beat . I am on warfarin and a beta blocker .......
My doctor said that being that I also have COPD my lungs sound a bit congested probably from my stay in the hospital .
Did the doctor put you on any type of medication to take after the ablation for a short time? If the doc gave you a beta blocker it may mean that they aren't compatable with your system and an adjustment may need to be made...common side effects are the dizziness and feeling tired however................shortness of breath is not one of them and if it were me i would call the doc after you read this to let them know about the SOB.....you want to make sure there are no clot issues happening and the three symptoms you posted are three of those that could happen.....i would just put my mind at ease and make the call now...if your doc isn't on call anyone who is can talk to you about your symptoms.
It is normal to not feel spunky right after the procedure. However, if your feel your symptoms are debilitating, you should perhaps get in touch with your doctor's office for further instructions. You have to remember that you just "beat up" your heart and it needs some time to heal. Most ablations need approximately 3 months or more. In the meantime, I wish you well.
