I think everyone on this forum have been on every type of monitors that are out there. I myself have been on soo many monitors and all different types, 24 hr, 30, and 60 day ones. This is a common practice when you have a heart arrthythmia. It is not unusal to not tolerate meds also. The years I suffered with my a-fib, I was on every med available. They would work for awhile, then the a-fib would break thru. Like Linda said, a-fib is a progressive condition. You need to follow what the EP is telling you. A loop monitor is no big deal. This monitor will help the EP diagnoise you properly. Good Luck. Wishing you well, and wishing you enough...

I think you should do what your EP is telling you to do.  If he wants more monitoring, he must have a good reason for it.  I don't think you say "I'll just stay sick" a year or two or five from now.  You will get to the point where you will actively seek relief, whether it's in the form of meds or an ablation. This is a progressive condition....it doesn't just go away, just becomes more and more debilitating.
