I've never been on Amioderone, but I do take Toprol XL for a Ventricular Arrhythmia. I've been on it for about two years now, and it's working very well for me. I just take an extra pill if ever I am having a problem.
The only somewhat unusual recommendation I have would be to avoid the new generic version of Toprol XL. It is supposed to be the same medication, but many have complained about experiencing terrible side effects from it.
Good luck. If you decide to switch medications, I hope it works out for you.
