Your HBsAG was very low pre-IFN and looks like you might clear it with IFN.
Good luck.
yea lets see what happens
will repeat HBsAg quantitative after 8 inj
What was your Vit D level pre-IFN and were you taking Vit D before IFN?
I am on my 10th week and only doing 90mcg. ALT flare as high as 131 but has come down to about 90.
My HBV was detected the same time as yours, which was 2005.
You should be happy that your HBsAg is so low and have you taken any anti-viral pre IFN?
-Did not take antiviral before INF
-Did not check Vit D levels bec the test is costly and we all are defecient in Vit D
-Just started taking Vit D
why only 90 mic
why not 180
whats your HBsAg level before INF
when did u check it the last and what was that
i am thinking of repeating it after 8th inj ?
How old are you? and what 's you hep B genotype?
i am 32. and dont know the genotype
Dr decide to reduce due to low blood count, particular WBC and neutrophils. The first 2 was 180mcg. The last eight 90mcg. ALT also flare to a similar numbers like yours. Before it was around 40 to 50.
Your e-antigen was always negative? But you are blessed with such a low HBsAg numbers. I have never had HBsAg done. I was born in Malaysia and I took ETV antiviral pre-IFN, where I converted e-antigen positive to negative.
I wish you have good result with IFN.
yea my eAg had always been negative as i had HBeAg seroconversion with formation of Abs before i knew i have this condition.
6 inj down and many more to go
will repeat HBsAg quantitative after 8th one
Please update us with the result as you receive them.
Any figures on WBC and neutrophils after the 4th injection? Also are you feeling tired most of the time? Just had my 11th shot. Upped it a bit to around 100mcg.
What's your height/weight and you are a male?
Sure i ll update u with the results
WBC was 3 and neutrophils down down but within safe limit
PLT 159000
I feel so tired , so tired that i cant explain
always exhausted and fatigued
Energy has vanished
Appetite is good
I am male and 5 8 with 76 Kg
Good to hear from u that your dose has been increased
Why dont u check ur HBsAg quantitative
What about u any fatigue ?
Yes, I feel fatigued and tired. Energy has vanish for me too. I upped the dose (slightly) myself since the neutrophils has increased.
I am male 5 7 and 63kg. Maybe because of that, I have to reduced dose due to my small frame. IFN is like chemo, causing tiredness and suck the energy out of your system.
I will check HbsAg when there is a measurement for it. I will let the Dr decide. I would have figured if they have the machine to measure it, they would do it.
Its like a battle to continue working and the inj therapy.
7th inj down
Many more still to go
morale is high despite of the fatigue
How do you keep your morale high ali?
Just did 12th shot yesterday (around 100mcg) and appointment with the Doc next week.
We need to support each other in this forum as we are all in this together.
This week I will use my last 48th injection, I get tired fast and need to drink a lot of fluid to feel normal, sadly there is no HBsAg drop in my case.
Nevertheless this year went like split second for me. I think that is the worse thing about hepatitis, you loose your life thinking of the illness instead of enjoying it fully.
My advice is to focus on what you would normally do in your life. You never know when a random accident will get you too yet you don't worry about it. Same case here, fact you have hep doesn't mean you will die from it, its just another risk factor in your life.
Good luck with HBsAg kinetics!
After 11 inj pegays
ALT 59
and HBsAg 18
No change in that
a lot of side effects of INF
Thinking of stopping INF
What kind of sides? Can you please list them.
i am having severe dryness of mouth
have to get up a few times in night to drink water
Yeah, I had that.
Just put plenty of water near the bed but that's not the solution either. As you drink a lot, bathroom breaks are frequent.
i feel tired, exhausted , headaches , backaches, neck pains , weakness, dry mouth , depressed, helpless
