I have these Ultrasound results, there is some things here I don't understand. My doctor request I have a CT scan to check some build up, he said there is no blood flow to the area so probably not a problem but I really don't understand what he means. Here are the results:
PROCEDURE: ABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND
CLINICAL INDICATION: Hepititis B. HCC surveillance
FINDINGS:
The liver contour is smooth and echotexture is homogeneous.
A couple of tiny subcentimeter echogenic foci are seen in the right hepatic lobe.
One measure 0.7 cm and the other 0.5 cm maximally.
No additional focal liver lesion or mass to report.
Gallbladder; Normal
Bile ducts: Normal
Spleen: Measures 7.7 cm. We suspect a benign adjacent 2.5 cm splenule.
Main portal vein: Measures 0.95 cm
Ascites: Not seen
Pancreas: Normal.
Right kidney: Normal.
Left kindey: Normal.
Abdominal aorta: Normal.
Enlarged lymph nodes: Not seen.
She described a new palpable area in the right lower quadrant. Ultrasound revealed a 1 x 0.6 x 1 cm avascular hypoechoic area in the anterior abdominal wall. No convincing abdominal wall defect with hernia during Valsalva Maneuver.
IMPRESSION:
1. No hepatoma detected.
2. No sonographically evident liver cirrhosis.
3. Stable subcentimeter benign hepatic cavernous hemangiomata.
4. Consider further evaluation of the right lower quadrant by CT with reference to this report.
Ultrasound revealed an avascular 1.0 cm hypoechoic area in the anterior abdominal wall. No convincing abdominal wall defect with hernia during Valsalva maneuver.
