remember ultrasound is useless to determine liver damage, have a fibroscan

you can be scared of US only for nodules detection, all the rest except fatty liver is almost useless observation

as to the hbsag results they are extremely good, think of hbv vaccine with aldara and zadaxin to develop hbsab and get control over the infection

not on the market so i dont care much, plus they are not a cure they will have to be combo with entecavir or tenofovir and peginterferon at the same time to cure hbv

i go on with sequential treatment hbv cure with has the highest real cure rates, all the rest is to be seen when they will be on the market, since all pre studies are never like clinical practice results

i couldnt find in any statiatics or trials what is the impact of long term nucs (entecavir/tenofovir) on kidneys, because having to take them for so long, that is inevitable at some point

Do entecavir has more strenght than tenofovir?

no, absolutely not, all studies show tdf is the most potent with no resistance

When for exple someone choose an antiviral instead of pegin is it possible for him to come back to peg?

sorry read sequential treatment posts, hbv cure is made of tdf and pegintf add on, not separated

no without therapy relapse is a risk too high.some guidelines use antivirals for 1 year to see if hbsab rises and then when stopped it must be checked closely to see if consolidated

I got another confirmation that my HBSAG (qualitative) is negative in a different hospital.

Now, I am waiting for the qHBSAG and HBV DNA result.

By the way, my ANTI-HBS is 9,33 IU/ml

Hi
Do an other fibroscan to compare results and i think hbv do a damage over time also before starting Treatment you did a Biopsie and it showed f3,I think, don't Forget That millions of cells are infected .the good think is that liver can be generated over time if the cause of destroying  the liver is finished .in your case I think a part of your liver is dam aged.but I think it will be ok since hbsag is ---.j

hello, HBS-AG positive and ANTI-HBS    6  mUI/ml

it is possible to increase the antibody without treatment?

no liver damage at all

you need high hbsab to achieve immune control over hbv, at this moment if you stop etv you ll probably relapse.you need a stable hbsab over 50miu/ml i think

Hello Dear Stef,

1. I am very worried about the ultrasound result. Why did you say that it was useless? The hepatolog warned me about the ultrasound result of worsening situation of the liver.

My previous fibroscan results were;

FIBROSCAN
04.02.2014 – 6.6
18.07.2014 – 5.2

2. Did I clear the virus according to HBSAG result?
