Lichen Planus

It appears this has developed on my penis head. Is it linked to Hepatitis B? The more I research the more I'm confused.  Having a few strange mouth symptoms but I'd like to find out if this link is common with hep b from anyone that knows about it. Many thanks

check vitd25oh anyway deficiency is universal, not only hbvers, and even in places like north africa or saudi arabia where sun is endless.best to know instead of living immune suppressed and exposed to cancers and other diseases

Thanks for all the help, I will try tea trea oil, it looks much like lichen planus from pictures I've seen. I've been run down and stressed so it hasn't helped. It itches a bit but no major discomfort. I'd rather it just went. A sexual partner has had a yeast infection months ago, this however isn't easy for men to pickup I'm told?

Anyhow it doesn't look like yeast but then again I'm no expert on this

check your vitd25oh, they are extremely deficient on all hbv carriers.vit d deficiency makes immune suppression and make T and B cells inactivated (you have a lot of them but they don t work)

vitd25oh controls directly 4500 of our genes so if you are deficient, vitd25oh less than 30ng/ml, you can have an incredible number of disorders, you can review all vit d studies on this website and check if correlated to your disorder

the optimum levels of vit d for immune boosting and prevention are around 90-100ng/ml but there may be many factors to make vit d resistance (you have a lot of vit d but it doesn t work in you) to check if you have vit d resistance check PHT when vitd25oh reaches 100ng/ml.

vitd25oh suppresses pht to low end of normal levels, if this does not happen the vitd25oh in you is not metabolically active and you have resistance

never check vitd1,25oh, that is regulated by our body and has no correlation with deficiency or vitd25oh or the vitd3 we take.

"Skin signs of chronic viral hepatitis

At least 20% of patients with chronic hepatitis due to HBV or HCV develop a skin disorder. It can be due to direct viral infection of skin cells. However, few of these are diagnostic of viral hepatitis and several are classified as autoimmune in origin.

Skin condition associated with both HBV and HCV

Mixed cryoglobulinaemia (type 2) – circulating immunoglobulins that precipitate when cold, resulting in palpable purpura and cutaneous vasculitis because of immune complex deposition. About 85% are due to HCV infection, but HBV can also cause cryoglobulinaemia.
Cutaneous and systemic vasculitis including leucocytoclastic vasculitis (palpable purpura affecting lower legs), livedoid vasculitis (livedo, atrophie blanche and small ulcers of the lower legs), urticarial vasculitis (persistent urticarial plaques), polyarteritis nodosum (tender nodules, livedo reticularis and ulceration) and capillaritis.
Lichen planus – the most common type presents with firm odd-shape purplish-brown papules and plaques and whitish streaks inside the mouth.
Porphyria cutanea tarda – liver injury triggers this metabolic disorder in genetically predisposed individuals, causing blisters in sun-exposed sites. It is provoked by HCV in up to 70% of cases.
Increased susceptibility to skin tumours including skin cancer."

and autoimmune disorders are the result of chronic  infections, or being exposed to toxic substances for  a long time.

Chronic infections and toxins alter the immune system, and these kind of manifestations of white film can be seen on mucus membrane parts. Tat could be yeast infection.

bluegc, use light application of tea tree oil on there for several weeks and see if it goes away.

Also get your HBV lab tests done, and start taking 20,000IU of vitamin D and 3-4 grams a day of vitamin C liposomal.

See if that will improve your situation.

If you want to be perfect about it have the lab run tests, cultures on that white stuff, you get, see if they can pic up anything.

If it is a yeast infection, taking half a tea spoon of baking soda  in hot water and going off sweets, well help. Changes are slow but in six months it is noticeable. I treated myself like this, after I gave doctors telling me there is nothing they can do.

But it is also the quality of immune system, that is the key. Vitamin D3 and C high doses, really help us.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, hepatitis B infection may not be related to lichen planus. Hepatitis B is an infection caused by a virus. Lichen planus is a condition that forms an itchy rash on the skin or in the mouth. The exact cause of lichen planus is unknown. It may be related to an autoimmune disorder. Regards.
