what exactly do you mean by stable?

--Less activity now.

does chronic mean i will have to live with it for life?

--Not absolutely.

by stable do you mean there can be no deterioration if i stay off alcohol ven without medication?

--No.  It means now it is stable and does not predict the future.  Alcohol?   No! No! No!

"inactive" is a misleading term.  Those with chronic HepB have viral activity / replication, period.  Those with "inactive" disease actually means you have low viral activity / replication at this time.  That could change in time.  That's why it's important to monitor your DNA to determine the level of viral activity / replication.

Indeed, you have chronic HepB but your ALT and AST are normal, you are HBeAg is negative and HBeAB positive, meaning you are stable.  Do you have your DNA?
