Result of treatment - TDF mono - after 18 months

Just want to share with all of you,  result of treatment using TDF after 18 months (my son) which seems to me very promising.

Baseline (before taking Tdf):
SGOT 47 (range for normal: 5 - 34)
SGPT 102 (range for normal: 4-36)
HBV DNA 2.43 X 10^8
HBSag Quantitative: 43,205.18 IU/ML
Fibroscan: 6.8 kpa

Result after 3 months:
SGOT 89
SGPT 244
HBV DNA 3.19 X 10^5
HBSag Quantitative: 11,570.50 IU/ML
HBeAG  reactive
Anti HBe  non reactive

Result after 4 months
SGOT 60

HBsAG Quantitative: 6,029.41 IU/ML

Result after 6 months

HBV DNA 5.7 X 10^3

Vit D 25oh : 25 (it increases slightly from the result 6 months ago although my son did not take any vit D supplement)

Result after 15 months
HBsAG Quantitative 928 IU/ML
Others are in the normal range

- at this stage we were so worried as although decreasing, the decrease of HBsAG quantitative was so little
- this is perhaps because in this period my son was hospitalized due to dengue and took other medication than tdf to get cured from the dengue.

Result after 18 months
HBV DNA is finally undetected.
HBsAG Quantitative 521 IU/ML
Unfortunately the vit D 25oh level is very low: 16,8.(my son now is taking supplement of Vit D3, 1,000 IU daily).
Others are in the normal range
HBeAG is still reactive
Fibroscan: 4.4kpa (F0?)

The plan is to continue using TDF mono till 2 years and see whether the HBsAG continue declining. I do hope that my son will clear the virus using TDF mono.

in italy as long as you pay cash they sell you everything but the product in italian pharmacies is very bad as quality and form.it is in oliv oil not extra-virgin and liquid, not an option

if you have an address you may buy from vitd.co.uk and get it delivered to italy before you come here or ask the hotel if they can keep it

as regards netherland i dont know but maybe it is easier there, check big pharmacies online and what they sell at the shop

I am still struggling to buy  vit D3 10.000. I live in Indonesia. Amazon does not deliver/ship Vit D to my country. Other on line sellers needs health certificate to be able to ship it to Indonesia, but they are not sure whether this is still possible.

I will have a work related visit to Turin, Italy, mid Jan next year and to The Hague, Netherland, overall for only a week visit. Do you know whether I can buy vit D3 10,000 on the counter (without prescription) in the Pharmacy in Turin or in The Hague?

which country are you?if in europe you can buy from bigvits.co.uk hralthy origins or nowfoods are both good and they also have 10.000iu pills otherwise as suggested look amazon

since he got such results with extremely low vitd he is going to clear on vit d3 supplements, just a matter of time.do check both vitd25oh and intact parathormone because vitd25oh alone is not good to assure no vitd deficiency while both vitd25oh at 100ng/ml and prathormone at 10-20pg/ml ensure both blood, tissues and especially vitamin d receptor are working and no deficinecy is present

Just search on pharmacy you will find d3 in doses of 100000 or 80000 just search.hope from my heart that your son will clear hbv.how old is he?and how he supports the medicine?also try to give him fruits and vegetables also milk and yogurt with vit d

I bought online vit d3 from solgar 10.000 iu, very cheap, very good . It is on amazon at 15 euros or aomethi g like that

The results were extremely good.

Your son is still HBEAG positive. It would be great you have the number of HBEAG quantity.

I think your son will totally clear the virus after VitD supplement and HBEAG become negative.

I am also one of the person who has cleared the virus just in 12 months without interferon.

Thanks all for your views. I am actually looking for  Vit D 10,000 IU but have not found it yet. What I can find in the pharmacy is Vit D3 1,000 IU. Still looking for it. The idea of taking the test of Vit D level and taking the supplement are actually my own idea after learning from this forum. Seems to me that the doctor don't know about relation of ViT D and HBV.

hi afif, also to me the hbvdna drop seems too slow for TDF.. mine took approx 30days to get UND..

Your son is extremely and dangerously vit d deficient, i think you have an extremely ignorant doctor, it must be treated immediately and guidelines prescribe 1milion iu once and then 2000 to 5000iu daily of d3

1000iu of d3 is like water, sun alone makes 20.000iu in few hours which are i mediately consumed by the body on sick people.his immune system cannot work without vitd25oh 100ng/ml or higher

take at least 100.000iu of d3 ones and 10.000iu daily, avoid dairies until vitd25oh is at least 100ng ml and drink 2.5l of water daily

response on hbvdna was slow probably with good levels of d it would have clear faster, check all our posts about vitd and please share results when vitd25oh is 100ng ml at that time your son immune system works normaly and we may see him clear hbsag fast
