sathysh87 made his own research to find a lab with hbsag quantification in india, it can be found here:

it is not easy to find this test because most of the doctors and labs don t even know what it is so they confuse it with old hbsag qualitative test elisa making a waste of time and money.

as to US, UK and canada we have found no plce where to make it, siince vietnam, china, south africa, ghna have it it is probably just a market decision of those country where only the money to earn counts and much much less the patients

Thanks for your info. I got it done in metroPolise Bangalore.They said there is no unit and they have done it in dilution method chemililuminiscense method. Whats ur HBsAg count?

Coimbatore is too far from my city also the above mentioned lab don't have any collection centre across the country like lal path lab and metropolis labs

No the unit must be in iu/ml. Where did u test it from. This time I went to lal path and enquired a lot of hbsag quant tests. They told one test tells result upto 200 value and greater than that it tells just more than 200. Price was just 150₹. I discarded this test and then they phoned and asked and the person told about dilution method hbsag quant. He was not sure about the unit and told they will convert it into iu/ml what ever might be the unit. God knows if we are doing the appropriate test or not. Now Steff cud help us with some directions or any person who has done this test in India and knows the test code which we can tell in lal path and get it done.

I too did HBsAg test in India. They said its Chemililuminiscence method. Count is 5209. No unit.

I got this test done from a lab in my city who have good repo. The pathologist said first he did by normal serum but could not get the result then he diluted and got the result. Method was chemiluminiscence. Said nothing about Abbott architect. May be abott architect is itself a chemiluminiscence method?
This time I went to lal path and they don't know anything about abott architect again but said they do quant by dilution method. May be the same. I think hardly anyone knows about abott architect in india perticularly North India.

yes it does, nobody had problems to find a hospital for hbsag quant in chinese forum

I live in canada and the only test for hbsag is negative or positive, they don't have the quanitavtive results. Do you know if china has this? I will be going back to visit very soon.
