sorry, the unit is IU/ml,not IU/mi
PegIFN add on, brother, or like you said, wait until it drops to 100.
truly, peginterferon is a must try for every chronic hbv carrier, u dont know where your chances are,
read the latest news from liver international congress, you are so close to be cured, you should add peg
truly, i don't know where my chances are, that's why my parents want me to keep taking drugs till hbsag drops to 100
but the possibility would be 91% if i use peg now.
i have to choose the latter one
Hi,
How old are you and are you a male?
Do you have your HBsAg level from a few years ago? The drop is HBsAg is quite impressive, although we need to know your baseline HBsAg.
Either way, IMO IFN now or later does not make a difference. Just looking at your rate of decline, TDF might possibly make your HBsAg negative.
i'm 24, and i'm male.
i've been taking tests since i took enticavir. but, we lost them after we moved to a new place. still, i don't know my baseline hwbsag.
do you mean it would be the same possibility when my hbsag is under 100? the possibility of being cured would not follow the rate of decline?
and if my hbsag were negtive, would i still need peg or hbv vaccine?
thank you for your answer. it really helps!
Hi there,
Your HBsAg value is low (and declining) that I think IFN add-on right now would knocked your HBV out in 24 months. Anti-viral such as TDF can get your numbers down too. Listen to your parents. They know best. Are they infected with HBV as well?
If your body develop HBV surface antibodies, then vaccine is not necessary. Good luck. Looks like everything is going in the right direction for you.
Pegintf add on has 91% chances to clear hbsag when you are hbsag less than 1000iu/ml, so it is the same.but if u see a continuous drop u may stay with tdf
Drop of hbsag below 100 iu/ml is not really necessary for interferon to start working. Please see below presentation of Dr.Peterson for hbsag kinetics example of interferon mono.

my mum was infected by her mother.but my father is not infected.
BTW, could you recommend some nutriment to me?
thanks
In the last 15 months, I try to avoid junk food (try to), drink freshly squeeze juice. I did lots of watermelon juice during their season. Carrot, beets and apple in a juicer as often as I can. Then I try extra virgin coconut oil. The ingredient in coconut oil (lauric acid) can help kill viruses. Not a cure but it doesn't hurt cooking them with roti paratha or put them with your coffee.
I supposed just keeping your immune system strong with D3, zinc and selenium. Brazil nuts for selenium.
Also research food good for the liver such as those mentioned above, along with garlic, lemon and spinach.
