Hepatitis C and Iron Supplement

Hi, excuse me for my english ,
I had hepatitis C for 25 years (i am 51 now) , treated successfully with IFN +RIBA in 2010 (virus not detectable since then)
I have no more thyroid but my thyroid drugs cannot be so effective because my ferritine is low but i ve been told  that in hepatitis, iron can store in the liver causing cirrhosis . I have moderate ( not light ) fibrosis.
Do you have any knowledge about iron supplementing with hepatitis c?

You have cirrhosis.  You shouldn't be taking iron.

I didn't trust taking iron supplements. Most patients are against that. Iron supplements are for pernicious anemia. The type of anemia you may be referring to is from liver issues. I used Natural spring water with iron in it and foods that were high in iron like lentils at 35%. Even if my doc urged me to take them I didn't because those iron pills made me vomit.
