post interferon syndrome and emotional perception

ok, i have to admit, Prednisone and steroids don'T solve PIS and aren't good over a long time but
it's a different state and I think, that's the main thing we want. Another state of mind,the actual is debilitating and cruel. Cruel to the feelings as well as to the mind. I call it Emotional Numbness. Because you stop to feel a thing. You're simply disconnected from the emotional world.

Hmmm.. i think there is a drug out there that helps tremendously. THe only problem is, what drug is it? I think something is off. But i also think that there's a substance out there that fixes it in the blink of an eye! We just haveto find it! like searching easter eggs... it's sad but we don't should give up! as long as i'm not 5 feet under i will not surrender!

I would say "no it's not the Lyrica."    "Depersonalization syndrome' is a recognized side effeect (injury) form taking interefron.  It was one of the most horrible and lonely things I ever experienced in my life.  You completely lose your sense of self.

And even if it is the Lyrica, why are you taking it?  Because you treated with interefron, right?

I'm with Otter, I took that to help me through tx for all the aches and pains during tx. It made me feel odd.  I was also very sensitive to the sun.  A friend who had been on it after back surgery said she had the same side effects.  I don't know all of them but one is weight gain, another is visual problems.
I tried a lot of things to recover from tx..  One thing I wish I had started walking was starting to take small walks.  That made all the difference for me.  Right now is the perfect time to start walking.  It also helps if you are having any balance problems.  I read that interferon can reduce our dopamine levels (feel good chemical) so I started on l'Tyrosine, it helped .  me.  I don't think there is any one thing that helps.  It is like making a cake, there are many ingredients to get to recovery.

well, i take 225mg for 3/4 of a year now

maybe you should look into the side effects and see if they relate to your symptoms? It is an odd drug.What were you prescribed it for if you don't mind me asking? I was prescribed it for fibromyalgia,my husband for a damaged back-neither of us lasted more than 1 pill-they made me feel very unwell and seemed to amplify my symptoms of dizziness and anxiety.

Actually yes. Lyrica is a weird drug that effects people in different ways but can spin you right out. How long have you been on them and how much are you taking?

or is it the Lyrica i'm taking? I'm gettin a lil paranoid about drugs, because i can play guitar again like really good but i don't feel a single thing! Can that be gthe lyrica i'm takinng?
