New drug coming in June

I saw my Doc today.I'm in week 14 of 24 weeks of Harvoni.Dr.Santoro was giving a speech tonight and showed me some stats.Us folks doing 24 weeks of harvoni are staying cured at a 99% rate.Since I am geno 1a and a relapser when I was on sovadi-olysio if I should be in that 1% that relapses on Harvoni he told me in June a triple drug is coming out that is 100%.I wish I asked him the name of these drugs coming in June but it is good news for that 1%,which I can certainly see myself being a part of.Especially when he tells me not to get over excited about being undetected right now.
                                               Good luck everybody   Glen

Hi All: Just got my blood work results and my viral load is UNDETECTED after 4 weeks on Harvoni. Have 8 weeks left  to go and will re-test blood June 6. I have read so many Great stories about Harvoni. I am hoping and praying that this is the MIRACLE PILL we have all been waiting for!!  Good luck to all who are in TX now.

There appears to be clinical trials being conducted for Genotype 3.

I would love to hear about this med too.  Especially to see if it will work for G3's.  I'm sort of worried here that I'm going to have a hard time being a genotype 3.  Hope you can find out the name. :)

Hi Glen: Do you think you could give your Doc a call and ask him what the name of the new triple drug coming out in June is, so we can all mention it to our Docs. in case some of us need to after tx. (Just in case) I have HIGH hopes for Harvoni though. I am two weeks in on a 12 week tx. 10 weeks to go. Waiting on blood work done Monday to see if #'s are down. PLEASE!! I also read about a new combo with 100% cure rate after 6 wks of tx. Not sure if it is out now or waiting approval. Achillion's  ACH-3102 + Sovaldi (Sofosbuvir). This sounds promising also and only 6 weeks.
They have made such amazing progress in the fight to find a total cure for this monster. Let's hope and pray that they are close to that TOTAL CURE for everyone and every GENOTYPE!                                                              Thank you and Good Luck to everyone.  Liz

I sure hope harvoni works for me too I have 13 Harvoni to go after 24 weeks also 15 week of ribavirin. I also relapsed after 12 weeks of Sov Oly relapse was in Sept 2014.

Nope never been tested for any of the genetic varients no Q80K or IL28 illeal.

Just a null responder to 3 goes with interferon based tx. I never did telaprevir as I had cirrhosis by the time it was approved and the doctor would not let me try it.

Good luck Glen!

Glen.  Harvoni is your "Miracle" drug, and I have no doubt this is going to be your ticket to ride.
Hang in there just a few weeks longer.
Your doing Great!

Glen, we are definitely thinking positively "negative" result (undetected) about this treatment for you. My guess is that Dr. Santoro is talking about the Merck drugs which have a great trial profile. I am just not 100% sure, though. Hang tough. Only 10 more weeks to go.

Did anyone do the Q80K polymorphism test on you? That may be why you relapsed on Olysio and would have NO bearing on harvoni. Wishing only the best for you.
