hi Deb!
I finished the Sovaldi triple whammy in August. I finally feel 100% normal, just in time to start again! Hang in there, my friend. I hope the fog lifts soon! I can't wait to hear good news from you!!!
The good news is brain fog WILL eventually subside but it may linger somewhat depending upon Tx protocol. My drug of choice was Riba/Solvaldi and Riba is notorious for hanging around somewhat longer then the other options.
My personal experience was 2-3 months, but wasn't 100% till 6 months. Now at 1+ year post Tx I feel great. Every additional day without this virus is freedom from the physical and emotional toll inflicted by Hep C. You will recover fully given time.

Hope your Labs are great! When will you have the results?
My brain fog cleared up toward the end of treatment. About a month EOT it kind of came and went. Some days are really clear - others not so much, but either I am adjusting to it, or the episodes are getting further apart. FM
Hi A Mama~
HE is surely no laughing matter. So sorry you have to deal with that. So grateful you have it at bay... Will pray that continues, actually completely resolves.... after reading article about cirrhosis reversals, well, all things are possible! Continue to feel well & heal well! I have treated twice with xifaxin, but for SIBO........ I think!!
All blessings AM,
Randy
Thx for congrats.... Looking hopefully to EOT 12
woooooooohooooooo Dragonslayer. Awesome news. I'm sure you are very excited!

Deb
My congrats Rbeth. My brain fog gas never left, but I have HE and cirrhosis, but I did figure out how to just control it on Lactulose and have not restarted Xifaxin sin EOTWEEK.
Hear not here.................. Brain Fogggggggg

Hiya Deb.....
Please don't lose the brain fog too quickly.... who will I talk to? lol
It's good to at least here how common post Tx SX are... Kinda.....

Thanks for the positive posts, I really needed that. Physically I'm feeling pretty good, losing hair, it's all good.
I'm going to get labs today it's been 6 wks I think and I want to know if I have SVR'd before EOT 12. Will find out in a week or so.Please keep me in your prayers, sooooo nervous. :)
Thank you everyone for the support
Hugs to all
Deb
I'm 7 weeks eot and just now beginning to feel better from the Sovaldi/Olysio. I had begun to think that being sick was my new way of life and I'm undetected. Take care.
Thanks Dee, will try the B12, am taking Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids too. I suspect the Xarelto I was put on several months ago as making it worse. If it doesn't worse that will be ok. The ear ringing can give the feeling of brain fog.
P.S. another thing that helps is trying to some type of exercise. The weather has been pretty bad but I try to walk as much as I can. Or riding a stationary bike can help.
I read the same thing that Sandi did about interferon reducing out dopamine level. while you didn't take interferon we have a natural interferon that could affect us. I had hoped that the new medications would not cause this.
Hang in there. Dee
Deb I agree with Sandi, it takes a while, cotinue with the water as that helps.
Sandi, I saw an article about Vitamin B12 deficiency and ringing in the ears. Not saying you have that but I was shocked at all the things a B12 deficiency could cause. Thought of you
It was almost 2 months eot before I really started feeling a little better. 3 months before I felt like I was rejoining life. Hang in there, for a long time after Tx you need to keep up with your water and nutrition. I am 10 months eot right now, and am still dealing with ringing in my ears, and having problems feeling "happy". Physically I am better, can exercise out in the sun, skin and hair recovering fine. I read somewhere on this or the post treatment forum, that Tx interferes with the dopamine in the brain. My nurse said it can take up to a year for Sx to go away, at this rate it may take longer. Hang in there the worst is over, but it takes a good long while to recover from.
