Brillant!
My hair grew in very dark and in bouncy curls w/o the grey (I'm 57). Its a totally different texture, grows very fast and even my dear departed mother thought I was dying it! The most fall out was about 16wks to about 4 wks after tx (24wks). I cut it really short and it grew into this whole new do! Go figure...
Clairol's 'Beautiful' collection is temporary, and especially for covering grey.. you simply wash hair, put it on, let sit 30 min..rinse thoroughly, then use conditioner, it is available at beauty supply stores open to the public. very easy on the hair.. supposed to last 3-6 weeks, depending...
At around week 15 I stopped coloring and highlighting my hair because I started losing so much. I am 2 days post tx and it is falling out in handfuls....I keeep looking in mirror to see my part-line getting wider and wider. My doc said not to add insult to injury and my colorist won't touch my hair in this condition.
I haven't gone this long without coloring so it has been interesting to see what the real color of my hair actually is. It is not pretty, lots of grey and friends are staring at it not saying a word but I know what they are thinking. I finished treatment on Thursday so I think I will wait a while before I color. I was thinking I'd do a non-permanent color just to cover grey temporarily.
I hate being grey but I would hate being bald even more.
Hey!!!!! If you decide to take Silvermoon's advice and go with the black wig.....can I borrow your red one????? I am still waiting for my hair to grow back (ended 48wks in May) LOL.......
This is my second time on tx and I have colored my hair the whole time altough not as often. Both times I lost about 1/3 of my hair between week 16 and 28. After I finished tx the first time my hair started growing right back, so hopefully it will again this time. Good Luck to you. Kim
