Could Jaudice cause your sclera to turn brownish?

Hi All;

Unfortunately I have Hep B, My sclera has turned brownish recently - could this be Jaundice? I also have dry eyes which irritate quite often. Could the redness of the dry eyes and the yellowing of the jaundice be causing the brownish sclera? My eyes haven't been completely white in the past 3 years, however it was not this bad or dark - its embarrassing as people cringe when they look at my eyes. I will be seeing the liver doc at the end of this month. Can this dark shade in my eyes be reversed? I never had confidence issues, but this is really starting to affect it.

Yes, jaundice can make the sclera appear anthing from light yellow to orange to brownish. I think you should call the doctor and tell him/her that is happening. Perhaps they could see you sooner.
