Cryoglobulinemia

Cryoglobulinemia

I posted a question about lower left back pain yesterday and was delighted to receive so much feedback so soon. My next question concerns this Cryoglobulinemia which I understand that I also have and that it sometimes goes hand in hand with HCV. Although I am a nurse, I am so ignorant regarding HCV and all it's symptoms and problems. I also had Hepatitis B back in 1984, but the doctor said it has cleared itself and that I will not get it again. Ever since the Hep. B, I've had Reynauds Syndome which causes numbness to the fingertips - they actually turn white when my hands get cold, also my toes and feet. The doctor says this is due to the cryoglobulinemia. Anyone else experiencing any of this or can tell me more about it. I will start my tx. in a few weeks after the results of my Genotype come back. Also I refused the liver biopsy because I am petrified. People have told me that it is like getting shot with a gun. My doctor has agreed to start the tx. anyway and he says I am lucky because my viral count is very low - I think he said 1,085. He said most of his patients are in the millions. Any info, would be so appreciated. Thank You Again in advance!
