Elevated enzymes

Elevated enzymes

I am 55 years old. I weigh about 200 lbs.  5ft. 5 in tall, and have always been in excellent health, except for my weight. I recently had blood work, my liver enzymes were elevated from my last blood work. I think it said 77. Is that unusual? I take HTZ, paxil, premarin, Atenolol, calcium, glucosimine chrondroitin, iron, and baby aspirin. Could something I started taking, in the last year, have made this happen?

Your liver enzymes are only slightly elevated; this could be due to any number of issues; some serious, some not so much so.

Fatty liver, or hepatic steatosis, might be at play here. What has your doctor advised; have you discussed this with him?

Best to you—

Bill
