Enzyme supplements during tx

I have tried to do a search but I came across of hundreds of unrelated answers

I have taken for a few years now (on and off) digestive enzymes. I have found great relief from them. So I wonder if I can continue to take enzymes during tx

That will be the Telaprevir from Janssen-Cilag

I called their office and did not get much apart from what is in the safety data sheet

Is Jensen the maker of your treatment meds or of your enzymes?  I've seen it posted on this site that some tx med makers have hotlines; seems odd that they wouldn't be able to advise you on drug interactions.

I will ask the doctor tomorrow

Funny that you are saying to ask the manufacturer. I called Jensen to ask these questions about Telaprevir. I have been told that they cannot talk to me and to ask my care provider - the doctor. I said: Pardon ! Aren't you the supplier (manufacturer) and I am the customer? Why should I go to a third party (the doctor) to find out details about your product.

If I buy a TV I will expect the manufacturer to give me all the details I need. I wouldn't expect the shop to be aware of all the possible issues

Strange..

You really should ask your treatment doctor. I was told nothing but a multivitamin, extra vitamin D, no grapefruit or pomegranate, and specifically to stop taking any type of supplements; I don't know if digestive enzymes are considered supplements. Many things can interfere with how meds work. Best to check with your doc, or maybe it's possible to ask the mfgrs of your specific drugs?
