YAY your big day! Make a big X on the calendar so you can keep track of where you are for your testing dates (which I was good at until the last year calendar got tossed LOL)
BEST of luck on a really easy side free night. I bet you are going to be FINE and be like the rest of us going oh...that's what it is, that wasn't nearly as bad as I thought!
Too many years of horror movies have conditioned us to be OVERLY anxious and picturing the worst!
I am sure you will do GREAT!
Good luck to you and I hope you have trouble free treatment days. If NYgirl goes out in left field on you just offer her a non-dairy fudge pop. She's addicted to them. She's also one of the best encouragers around. Good luck again and remember if anything weird happens it's normal or at least that is what the doctor keeps telling me. I notice I have a peculiar smell but I can't quite put my finger on it. Good luck to ya! Stay with humor and stay away from drama. Dale
Glad to hear from you and great news your starting tonight. AS you already know my first night was filled with chills, fever and very flu like. Just remember to take 2 tylenol before your shot, it really helps. However, with your spirit you'll probably fly through with hardly no sx's.

Dyce: Welcome aboard our ship of fools. A bonafide crew member!
NYgirl: which I was good at until the last year calendar got tossed
The 2006 ones should be available any day now.... two aisles over from the fudge pops ;-)
Ray: I notice I have a peculiar smell but I can't quite put my finger on it.
Is that 2 conditions or 1? Maybe solving the second will help with the first?
I had the smell and also the taste of metal. One of my drs. said it was the anemia, now that they upped my procrit it seems to have gone away. Will find out Tues. if my HGB went up from the 8.7 I was at.

Don't make him starting pushing the oar yet....let's put him in the luxury section of the ship for a while yet until we see how he does.
Dale were you being serious - you probably smell like the medications coming out of you through your pores...smells worse than any doggie doo even ;-)
good luck with your shot...I was supposed to do my first shot tonight...but now I will have to wait 2 weeks. Keep us posted on your sides if any.
Deb in AZ

Hang in there my friend, the first shot was like that for me too. I found it to be the worse and Sun will be # 10 for me. I found the pain pills very helpful for the aches and pains. Tylenol worked great on the fever if you get it. Will be thinking of you tonight.

Welcome to the board! Just did shot 3 yesterday. One wonderful side effect I have had is that all of my joint pain has gone. This surprised me as I thought it would be the opposite, lots of joint pain. NP thought this was a good sign as she thought I am probably killing off the virus in my joints quickly, yeah. Such a strange disease.
bom bom bom, another one bites the dust, and another one comes and another one goes..........#4 ..........good theme song, no?
Just sing...
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Okay, now let's practice that with a Riba attitude...
now sing with me...
I see trees pee green, and rotting fruit
I see them fly across the room
And I think to myself, but then I forget
I see rashes red and gasp for breath
This frikkin day, ain't over yet
And I think to myself, but then I forget...
Naw...not really...welcome both, don't go by my jaded outlook, I was up doin a rush job til 4, then they drained blood for my 24wk pcr this morning then I worked in the cold, and I'm still trying to put a new motor in my dryer(some of the tools I've used will never be found again, they went to riba purgatory). And I'm sittin here smilin so it Can't be that bad... truly.
May your path be clear and easy,
Don

You looking for me? What'd I do this time? LOL
Been fishin like a madman, and having pretty good luck to boot. Actually caught 8 snook this week, the largest being well over 20lbs. Three tarpon, one weighing in just around 115lbs.
What's up Doc?
Thread was closed below, but I just wanted to congratulate you on your accomplishment. Took big ones to gamble on the short course tx, with so few studies and all.......But you did it and prevailed!!!
I'm due for my 6 month PCR just about now also. Have the lab request here in front of me, just sort of been avoiding it. Of course I want to know, but at the same time, I'm in NO hurry!!! Feels good post tx, KNOWING your undetectable, doesn't it?
Say high to Mr & Mrs Busch for me!!! Sure seems like an eternity since I met up with them!!
