TeeeHooo. Anxiety can become an overwhelming experience. You do not have Hep C and need to get that out of your mind. I'm not a pill popper but sometimes anit anxiety meds are needed to get you over this hump. As Idyllic has said why not get a complete physical so you can confirm to yourself that what your feeling is anxiety and not physical illness. There are many of us on this planet that go thru periods of anxiety and stress. It's not abnormal to feel the worry that you are having.
You do not have Hep C and that is fabulous news. Talking to a professional will help alliviate your concerns.
Stay well

Well since you don't have Hepatitis C and this is a Hepatitis C Forum offering suggestions for your pain would be speculating especially since apparently you have had several labs and liver-relating conditions were ruled out.
This might be a good time to have a complete physical if you haven't already just to see be sure you are in tip top shape - and out rule any lingering possibilities.
Lastly even though Hepatitis C is not a social disease since you apparently engage in high risk activity you may as well test for STDs and get vaccinated for Hepatitis A and B
"Do you guys know of any reason someone would not develop antibodies within 23 weeks?"
No, you can always request an HCV RNA by PCR test and put this nonsense to rest, you do not have hep c but if you feel the need to waste 500 bucks go ahead and get a RNA test.
Have a great day
Hi everyone, for some reason I still feel worried about hep c. My midsection seems to have pains especially onright hand side where the liver is. Doctors tell me it's stress and anxiety. But I still feel these pains. It sometimes feels full and sometimes it feels like a scratching feeling on my right ribs and lower back.
Do you guys know of any reason someone would not develop antibodies within 23 weeks? I thought I was a healthy person before all this happened. (Apart from my obvious anxiety problem)
Any information would help..I do realise I had a very low risk exposure and 2 negative tests....I just can't put it to rest as I keep feeling different sensations in liver area.
Well ... :) I had hep c for 30 years. Every time I had a partner I was extremely worried to pass this terrible virus to anybody. You need to be careful not to use toothbrush , manicure. or ,shaving same instruments. Don't have sex with anybody with period. You cannot get hep c from oral sex or fingering or vaginal sex. The chance is very very little. Almost non. Some very respectable clinics say it's even no chance to get it without blood to blood contacts.
Thanks for your response.
Hope you have an awesome day too!
"I did this test after 23 weeks to possible exposure. Do you think that is long enough to rule out hep c infection."
Yes, absolutely, you are hep c free
Have a great day
Hi.. I retested for antibodies and result was non reactive to hep c and hep b. I did this test after 23 weeks to possible exposure. Do you think that is long enough to rule out hep c infection.
Thanks
"Have you ever heard of someone getting hep c the way I have described?"
No
Thanks for the reply.
Have you ever heard of someone getting hep c the way I have described?
I am struggling with stress and anxiety over this.....if I retest and it is negative I am worried I wilt think its something else. I am trying to beat the thoughts in mind.
If i don't retest I will always believe I have hep c. I feel like I can't win either way!!
Hepatitis C Risk – The Hepatitis C virus can also cause chronic liver disease with a potential for being fatal. Transmitted via blood-to-blood contact, this illness is harder to acquire from sexual contact. While there is little evidence proving Hepatitis C acquisition through oral sex, a theoretical risk exists if there is any blood present in the giver and receiver. Thus, a risk of transmitting Hepatitis C via cunnilingus, fellatio or analingus exists if there is any menstrual blood, bleeding gums, a throat infection, cold sores, canker sores, genital warts, hemorrhoids or any other breaks in the skin in any involved body structure – vagina, clitoris, labia, penis, testicles, anus, perineum, lips, tongue or anywhere else on the genitalia or inside the mouth.
Experts believe that viral hepatitis is more likely to be transmitted if either the positive or the negative partner has another STD, especially one that causes sores or lesions. Thus, suspicious symptoms should always be checked by a doctor before engaging in oral sex.
