Hepatitis Testing

I started having sex with the guy i was dating back in december.  Our last sexual experience was on Feb 17th. 5 months after I found out from his friends that he had Hepititis that was given to him at birth.  I'm not sure what form of hep it is but I went and got tested.  My test came back negative and my liver fcn was good( which is what the doctor told me) If i did contract hepatitis from him would it have shown up in the blood test 5 months after we had unprotected sex??? The unprotected sex was only for a few minutes and he did not ejaculate inside of me. please help

You can google the information you're requesting, HepC is rarely transmitted thru normal sexual intercourse.  Five months later you would know.  If you think you got a false negative test, test again in 6 months.  Stay safe and God Bless

Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA)
EIA detects the presence of antibody to hepatitis C virus (anti-HCV) in the serum. This test is commonly used
for initial screening for hepatitis C. The EIA does not differentiate between acute, active, or resolved infection.
The EIA is highly sensitive but may yield false negative results in the window period between exposure and
seroconversion (the window period varies, but averages 8 weeks) or in patients with immunologic disorders
that impair production of antibody. The EIA may be falsely positive due to cross-reactivity with other antigens.
The false positivity rate of the EIA increases as the prevalence of hepatitis C antibody positivity decreases in a
population.

I'm just wondering if the test would be accurate 5 months after.

So what's the question? Is there a question or is this a sexual statement. If it's a sexual statement why didn't you give us all the details?
