It's official - SVR!!!

Got the call today and I made it.  For those that were not around while I was treating - Gilead trial with INF, Riba, and the possibility of two DAA's (won't know for sure until the study is over).  Treated for 24 weeks.  Me - Geno 1a, CT, starting VL of 2.3 mil., treatment naive.  Can't believe it's over.

Sherri - Thank you - I hope that the fact that you did 16 weeks and SVR''d helps develop shorter treatments.  They will follow me until 2015 if I choose to continue to participate.  I go back in a month then have two months off - probably the same schedule as you.  Yes, I was thinking about that - I am almost a year UND as well  I hope your hubby gets cured too and it will be so good that you are already well when he goes through treatment.

I was sure you would reach SVR.  I am so happy for you.  I must say it feels great doesn't it?  How long will the clinic follow your progress and test your viral load.  Mine goes on until April 2015 even though I have now been l year und.  We are waiting for better all oral studies for hubby.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Happy Trails,
Sherri

Thanks everyone, for the congrats.  It has been an emotional day needless to say.  Besides getting cured myself, I hope that my participation in the trial plays some small part in helping others get to the same point.  This forum was invaluable to me and it meant so much to find others in the same trial going through the same things I did. I know that someday there will be a way everyone reaches SVR (unless we all go on Dec. 21, 2012, in which case, losing my hair was for naught).
