when getting ready for Invicek I had to go to an opthamalogist prior to being considered. They tell you in the paperwork received that the three drug combo could effect your eyes and/or eyesight. Sense of sight is one you don't want to lose. Even the peginferon/riba combo can affect your eyes. You can become photo sensitive. Go to an opthamalogist.
Hi I had very dry and sensitive eyes while on the Incivek, it was pretty bad though I have to say that the first time I treated I also had problems with the inf and riba. I was using eye drops all the time.
Worse with the addition of the Incivek
Good luck

I'm going to Vote its the Incivek
Seems like the cause of almost every SX that I see on here
Not sure what you're on. I was on triple with incivek, ribavirin and peg. My eyes and face swelled about 6 or 7 weeks in. The only doctor that acknowledged that it was happening was my cardiologist. It was so apparent to me that I wore my glasses everyday instead of contacts. After I finished the incivek my face returned to normal but my eyes are still a little swollen.
yes my eyes feel like i have sand in them i did get eye drops i was told to get Similasan i did get them i use them when my eyes start to burn and it does help i was also told u can use them as much as u want because they are 100% natural
thx for comments. Its both the actual eye (very dry and feels like there's grit in them) and swollen skin around the eyes - top and bottom. They feel ok today but were really painful for the previous 24 hours even with all the eye drops! By coincidence, I had a full eye test just prior to treatment to get new glasses. I know my skin is supersensitive now so I drive with a hat, scarf and gloves on and sunglasses and long sleeved shirt I look like a terrorist.
Actually my eyes still hurt even with the sunglasses on so I'm thinking of getting some snow goggles that completely block out the sun, glare and reflection.
Do you mean eyes, or is it eyelids and surrounding tissue? If its the latter I would suspect sun might be a contributing factor. My skin was super sensitive to sun during tx. Are you using sunscreen daily and wearing sunglasses when outdoors? If its your eyes themselves I would agree with barefoot: try the eye drops labelled artificial tears and make an Opthalmology appointment. Good luck!
try using systane drops or blink drops...i had severe dry eyes and vision issues during tx....if those dont help see an opthamalogist. Did you have a retinal study done prior to startint tx?
