Have a great day
Also there are other radical conditions that are not viruses that can also cause liver injury you you'd still be told you have liver inflammation (hepatitis) but the cause would not be due to a virus.
Not all forms of hepatitis are infectious. Alcohol, medicines, and chemical may be bad for the liver and cause inflammation. A person may have a genetic problem, a metabolic disorder, or an immune related injury. Obesity can be a cause of liver damage which can lead to inflammation. These are known as non-infectious, because they cannot spread form person-to-person.
There are several varieties of hepatitis virus. Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C as some examples. Hepa refers to the liver and "titis" simply means inflation. So hepa titis basically means inflamed liver. So viruses in that family of virus attract and injure the liver.
Hep A resolves on its own. Hepatitis B may resolve on its own or the person may go on to be chronically infected and will need to see a doctor for treatment.
If you are infected with the hepatitis c virus there are now medicines approved in the last two years that can edificaré the hep c virus and cure you of the infection. Then with time your livercan begin to heal.
Your doctor will explain more about this. But one thing you can do now is do not drink any alcohol to prevent further liver injury.
See your doctor for more information about where exactly you stand and come back if you like with any questions you may have.
Best of luck to you
