Unfortunately, in my opinion you will have to wait till you're done with tx to find out, also it may even take 6mos. or longer after tx.  I think you should check the archives, on both issues, because some ppl will stop swelling after tx and some will get a little better, and that's ppl who have reached SVR.  I think both health issues will take some time to find out about.  It would make sense to think that if it's truly only a symptom of your HepC and you SVR then the pupura would go away, that's where the factor of genetics comes in.    good luck

varicose veins our usually heridertary can be aggravated by treatment i had same thing on treatment it turned out it was not lihen planus or purura i thought it was brought on by procrit but may be wrong turned out a flap in vein was no longer working causing blood to pool in leg  you can have surgery for this it is called postphlebitic syndrome you can have the vein striped which is more complicated surgery with 40 percent sucess or lazer surgery wich is only 1 hour and 90 percent sucess you will need ultrsounnd done on your leg

This is a most difficult question to answer, even if someone had lichen planus or pupura and it went away for them after tx, it doesn't mean the same thing would work for you.  A couple of things to consider are, did you have it prior to tx?  Do any of your parents or close family members have varicose veins, lichen planus or pupura?  Have you even had it dx'ed to exactly what it is?  Personally I wouldn't worry about it that much, I know you're overly consious about it, but it may be one of those things that you need to wait on to see the results.  You will want to talk to your doctor about this and maybe even get a referral to a dermatologist, they're working wonders with lasers.  Maybe someone will chime in and tell you what they did to help reduce the appearance.  good luck
