My doctor says I start the Victrelis on the first day of the 5th week which will be the morning of the 5th PegIntron shot.  The orders for the PCR are for the day before - in this case the Thursday before the Friday shot.

The typed up instructions also say to stop the ribavirin on the day of the last interferon injection (for me, 7/20/2012).  I will probably continue the ribavirin through the week -- we shall see how I feel.

"Take first dose of telaprevir and ribavirin the morning AFTER the first Peginterferon injection. "

This makes sense with regard to the telaprevir because you are not supposed to take it without the other two.  However, I cannot see that it needs to be the day after with the riba (personally I think we should have to start it a week in advance of the INF anyway).  I assume the speaker thinks the riba and INC should e done on the same days so the patient does not get confused. (us poor befuddled creatures!)

Who is it that was going to start the Incevik on a Tuesday but not take his shot until Friday?  That really didn't sound right.

How are you doing Zach?  Is life treating you well?
How about you, nygirl?  two of my favorite people here.........

You would continue treatent if you are still DET at week 8 ..but the recommedation is then to treat for the full 48   as long as you are <100 at week 12 and UND at week 24.

I believe , this is due to the fact, that boceprevir has a lead in with pegasys and riba for 4 weeks, and they do PCR.If you have less than 1 log, you are slow responder and the continue. At fifth week they include boceprevir, and if you are still detectable at week 8, they stop treatment, if not detectable at 8th week, they continue for the rest of 48 weeks. I think this is the difference between telap. and bocep. Telaprevir they include immediately.
