Last Shot!!

Hello everyone,

I am extremely happy to say that I just took my last shot today (48/48). Here are some of my stats at baseline:
TYPE  1A
ALT   201
AST   109
HCV RNA 2,749,241

Pegasys 180 mcg/Copegus 1000 mg.
2 log drop at 4 weeks, <10 at 12, 24. ALT and AST normal range at 36 weeks. My HGB stabalized at about 11.6, and ABS Neutrophils at about 600 (with the help of Neupogen).

I never missed a day of work due to treatment, except for 2 days for an upper respiratory infection. Not sure if it was related to treatment because I've had them before Tx.

Side Affects:
Extremely irritable, anxiety, slight depression. Slight hair loss/weight. Low ABS Neutrophils (help with Neupogen), also was diagnosed with minor Vitiligo (slight loss of skin pigmentation in a couple of areas) this is an autoimmune problem which I hope will stop after treatment, and my doctors also seem to think that it will.

If any of you newbies have any questions, feel free to ask. I put of Tx for 10 years because of fear of Sx and happy that I finally went ahead with it. Now I have to wait and see what the future holds. I will be cheking in for my post Tx results. God bless everyone and thank you all that encouraged me to treat and that gave me advise during Tx.

The last 24 weeks have been the hardest. This is when my WBC went down, irritability got worse and so on. I guess the longer these drugs are in your system, the worse side affects get.

The count down has started and it couldn't come sooner. Can't find your to do list--check the frig , that's where I found my keys. LOL
The new blood will see me to the end of tx and beyond as it's been 2 months since the last one.  I meant tx for treatment, I'm from Fl but treating in NY, that alone is a ride by it self.

I'm pretty good, relatively speaking.  Finally getting a boost from Procrit AND I tried Provigil this morning (remember that brain fog lift drug someone mentioned last week).  Basically, it's speed but I am not complaining.  It was good to have enough energy to write 10 "to do" lists (if only I could find them now---I guess the Provigil has worn off).

By Tx, do you mean Treatment or Texas?  (I'm both!).

I hope that your day as a vampire gives you a nice pick-me-up.

We're now counting down on ONE HAND.  To me, that's huge.

About your son, LOL.

Yes, will do the riba I week after last shot.  I think that's standard for everyone even though I'd like to stop it yesterday.  How are you doing?

Your tx buddy,
