Multi vitamin post tx?

Is it okay to take a multi-vitamin post tx?  I was UND at 5 months post.. and just had labs done yesterday for my 6 month post tx..  I would like to start taking a mult-vitamin.. Centrum Silver for women.. It has vitamin A which I avoided prior to tx..

I agree with OH. It is about your liver. If you have cirrhosis then consult with your hepatologist or gastroenterologist first, otherwise if you have less liver damage your liver can handle the vitamins.

I agree100% with OH. I'm still on tx, and I've been taking a multivitamin without iron throughout tx (and years prior too) with the full approval of my primary physician AND my treating hepatologist. It's always best to make sure all your doctors know of all the supplements you are taking, but it is unlikely any would object to a regular-dosage multivitamin without iron.

It's fine to take a multivitamin WITH tx, preferable w/o iron, so I can see no harm in taking it after.
In fact I was told to take an Essential vitamin w/o iron when I was first diagnosed.
Always, the important consideration is not so much the hep C as the condition of your liver. If it's damaged, be careful about that iron content.
