Liver damage???

I just found out that I have hep c... I have had the virus for 5 years!!! (Former drug user) what are the chances I already have liver damage??? I go in the morning for a liver scan to check and I am nervous to know!!!

Ditto again as what surfsidegal  said .

hcv is a slow progressing disease , but yes a liverscan should tell u more and u should also look into treating it and getting over and done with your hcv .

new meds today have a very high cure rate .

If you have truly only had liver disease for 5 years your chances are excellent for no or little scarring. I wouldn't worry.
