i see that this post is dated 2002 so i hope by now who ever needed the liver got it. if looking for transplant centers look for the larger teaching hospitals or call a hepatologist and ask them.
I really want to thank you for this info...my younger sis has advanced decompensated cirrhosis, and she is getting on the list...I hadn't thought of somewhere else to go, without such long lists...I'm going to check this out...
and anyone out there know what she should do? she has bad acites now...shouldn't she go get it drained? I thought so....she has alcoholic cirrhosis too....she takes lactulose...she went into liver failure 5 years ago, but she quit drinking and eats really well, and she's lasted with this liver far longer then they thought she would...

sorry but I think maybe ron , just my hunch, are are a broker trolling for desperately sick people.
check my above post. If I'm wrong oh well..
but better that somebody state the most likely scenario.
If this is true, then it's too good to be true....and we all know what's said about that...
I can think of 15 medical reasons not to do this without even blinking,
but I think the above link says enough there is really no need.
