Treatment is hard, I finished about 6 weeks ago.  This forum will give you great support.  You also might want to look for a support group in  your area.  I agree with everyone else that you have to take it one day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time or it will overwhelm you, I know it did me and I panicked a few times and cried even more
Best of luck, hang in there.

Just focus on what you need to do to get better and get through treatment...get through each day one day at a time....sometimes it's too overwhelming to look at the whole big picture...you have to take it little pieces at a time....maybe that means going home and having your family help you, or maybe it means you can wait till you are done with treatment and feel better, then decide what to do with the rest of your life...Can you write letter to your family or friends, or send e-mails?  Sometime just being able to vent helps a lot...

keep your doctor informed of your side effects (being tired, depressed, rashes, vision problems, infections, etc...), post questions and side effects on here...if your haveing a side effect, I am pretty sure someone here has had it too and can offer some advice...your not alone :)

"The relationship I thought was so awesome, has turned out to be a big dissappointment, but seriously, Im to tired and exhausted to even care."

Glad you came here to talk about what you're going through.  There are many people here who can help you sort out everything you're dealing with.  Sorry to hear things are not going well for you.  Hopefully things will start getting better for you.  Tx is very difficult at times but if you continue and you SVR you won't have to ever worry about it again.  Keep your eyes on the prize!!  I suggest you come here often even if it's just to say hey or vent.  Everyone needs to communicate when going through tx, absolutely.  good luck!!

The first time I did tx, I was isolated.
This forum was my support system. I came to rely on it.

However, unlike you, I had a very supportive helpful husband.
Tx is hard enough without having relationship problems on top of it.

Do take care of yourself and come here for support whenever you need it.

Hi, I am glad that you reached out for support.  We are a big family and go through what you are experiencing every day.  We are here for you and will help you through tx as you move forward.  Find some time very day to do something for yourself and try to get some fresh air and exercise (even if its only a 10 or 20 minute walk).  Follow the wise workds of others who have responded and call your doctor's office to see if there are local area support groups.  Take it one day at a time (one minute if you have to) and you will make it through.

Virtually everyone of us has wanted to quite, especially as the side effects accumulate the further into treatment.  Could of thoughts:
1.  Break the treatment into 2-4 week increments and focus on the short term goal of getting to that point.
2.  Get support from friends, family, this board and the doctors office if they are any help
3.  Don't stop living.  You may not be able to do everything you would like but schedule time for the things you can...get some sun, go for a short walk, listen to music...
4.  Treatment requires mental toughness as much as the physical endurance.

Keep in mind that Incivik and Vic are currently viewed as one shot deals and a repeat treatment may not work so follow the letter of the protocal (every 8 hrs, every day, full treatment).  Finally, Hep C can destroy your health, liver and shorten your life so 24 weeks of misery now for extending your health and longevity seem like a fair trade.

Hang in there .I think we all had those days we wanted to quit. I know I did! I would think why am I doing this to my self, I din't feel that bad before I started . I only have my husband here and he not what you call compassionate. He was in the military 25 yrs. He says.............. pain is a weakness leaving the body......... If you think about it it's kind off true in this case.  Good luck to you and I wish the best for you.

Hi Joyla. Of course, especially when I was taking the Incivek. I had to take every day at a time (sometimes every 8 hours at a time). Today I'm starting week 23 of my 24 week treatment period. Looking back, it was all of the baby steps that added up to making it this far in my journey. Hang in there! The rest of us did it, or are doing it, and you can too!! Regards, GB

I have no support, except what I have here, which is a lot. I worry about getting a rash where I won't be able to apply medicine, like my back. I just plod along knowing that it WILL end, that is enough support for me. try to stat positive and it will end, I promise...Mark

Can't tell you how many times I cried forcing down both the fat and incivek bc I was so nauseated. Just take one hour and pill at a time. Don't look to far into the future and you can do this. Livinontheedge is in Kansas. Maybe she is close by? I will text her for you.

If I remember right you are just a few weeks behind me on tx with incivek.
I only have a few days left of incivek and these last few weeks have been pretty brutal on sides like fatigue, nausea, itching, and a few others.
I would just recommend to try and stay focused on completion of this portion of tx. I know it is hard but the opportunity to kill this HCV is RIGHT NOW... and were doing it. If you want to share what kind of side effects your having problems with maybe someone here will have a helpful solution to help you along. ( hopefully )
Good Luck

Tell us a little about what you are going through and possibly some here may offer helpful info. or just to share similiar thngs  that are coming up for you.

Is this your first time treating? At what week are you ?  Are you responding well by viral load reduction ?

Hang tough,it can be difficult for some ,however try to focus on the goal....to eradicate the HCV virus.

Best..
Will

Yes, often.
And I've already had a liver transplant so you'd think I'd be the last person to want to stop.
Treatment is difficult for many people.
Can you talk to your nurse ? Ask her about hep C support groups in your area.
You should also tell her, and/or the doctor who is caring for you, about any and all side effects as they may be able to help you.

BTW: I completed tx and am glad I did.
