I could not slect the best answer, to me they are all the best answers! thanks again Mary Ann
Yes it is a viral load test, what dave is pointing out is to make sure your doc uses test with the proper sensitivity matching incivek protocol also peanut butter works great.
Laboratory Tests
HCV-RNA levels should be monitored at weeks 4 and 12 and as clinically indicated. Use of a sensitive real-time RT-PCR assay for monitoring HCV-RNA
levels during treatment is recommended. The assay should have a lower limit of HCV-RNA quantification equal to or less than 25 IU/mL and a limit of
HCV-RNA detection of approximately 10-15 IU/mL. For the purpose of assessing response-guided therapy eligibility, an “undetectable” HCV-RNA result
is required; a confirmed “detectable but below limit of quantification” HCV-RNA result should not be considered equivalent to an “undetectable” HCVRNA
result.

Is this the same as the hepra max test to detext your viral load? Also what is the best food to eat I ate penut butter, with my Riba last time around a couple of Tbs of that will get you too the 20 gram mark, could you also use this with incevik
Here's a link to more confusing acronyms. It's also located in the bottom right-hand corner of this page.

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) — PCR tests detect
HCV RNA in the blood, which indicates current active infection.
This type of quantitative PCR test is very sensitive, and
can measure as few as 5-10 IU/mL.
= viral load test
Hi Dave good to hear from you , this may sound dumb, what does PCR stand for duh, I know I have seen this please refresh my memory.
I took my pills at 7am, 2pm and 10:00pm. I am so glad I am off of that. It is a rough road hang in there and God Bless
Incivek must be taken 3 times per day 7-9 hrs apart this is very important to stay in these ranges. Here is the link to incivek full prescribing info, it should be able to answer most of your questions.

I am glad to see you posting and getting ready to start treatment again. I wish you had access to a doctor who handled your treatment differently. I think it's going to work for you this time.
You will take incivek every 8 hours and each person decides what schedule will work best for them. I am an early riser so my schedule for Vic (also every 8 hours) was 6am-2pm-10pm
The interferon and Ribavirin are taken the same way you did last time.
It's really important that your doctor follow the protocol for getting your PCR tests and that he use a test that as sensitive as the PCRs used in the trials or better. I would speak with him to insure that he plans to do that before you start.
happy holidays,
-Dave
