Those stomach pains sound a lot more extreme than I have ever read about. If it was my husband, I'd call his doctor's office today and speak to the nurse. She can convey the message to the doctor and tell you what you need to do now. It may not be anything related to hep c.
Here's a thought... is it worse when he eats something with a high fat content? If he has gall bladder issues, the fat will make pains when the gall bladder contracts.
Hope he gets better soon. Tx is hard enough without something extra to deal with.

I am not on treatment yet, I'm waiting for the new PI's because of my genotype 1a.
I'm doing a lot of research to learn how to treat any issue I may have when I do treatment. People are saying 1 thing for sure, no matter how much you may not feel like eating, you must eat when you take the Riba, or you will get sick to your stomach.
Also I have read people swear by drinking Coconut water, it is so much better for you than poweraide or gatoraide and the whey protein drinks made with milk and fresh fruit, also with coconut water blended may help your husband.
Good luck to both of you.

Thanks for answering. I told him he needs to tell the doctor at his next appt. It mostly happens after he eats. He has already dropped over 30 lbs. I bought some ensure and powerade to see if that is easier on his stomach.
doubled over is key. this sounds unusually severe and a symptom i would consult doc for...
ALways take the riba with some form of fat that the riba can bind to - another reason we take it with breakfast and dinner usually. I don't remember anyone having pains so bad they doubled over though but IBS type stuff is quite common.
