My husband is on triple therapy with Incivek.  His NP recommended:
Prescriptions:
Hydroxyzine  HCL 25 mg  1 – 2 tablets every 6 hours as needed
Triamcinolone 0.025% OINT twice per day as needed
Over the counter:
Eucerin cream
Eucerin body wash
tea tree oil (for blisters that formed with rash)

Thanks for the advice and links, just got in from the store, got two pair of all cotton drawstring waistband pj bottoms and a bottle of gold bond green bottle with the red lid. the skin touching skin is my biggest issue as well, crease of the arms and thighs, my weight loss was a blessing in disguise.

Hot baths and showers should be avoided since they exacerbate itching  Wear loose fitting clothes made of soft, smooth cotton material and to keep their skin as moisturized as possible. Try to avoid hot and humid weather, sun, sweating, etc.  Oral antihistamines such as Benadryl or Claritin helped me, as well as hydrocortisone creams.

Its a very common reaction, but be careful not to let it get too bad, since this can be a major game changer.  See your doc or derma if it gets bad.

The following article is more about the itching due to chronic HCV, not treatment, but many of the suggestions are the same for helping to calm the itchies.  A little outdated, but some good info.

Hi Zedd,

Great thread Hrsepwr sent.  But since then, I swear by Gold Bond Medicated in the green bottle, for the RIBA rash.  Definitely keep an eye on it and let your doc know if you feel it is too intense or widespread.  I find I get itchy on skin touching skin, so....the insides of the knees, inner thighs, armpits, etc.  Make sure to slather on the lotion and stay hydrated.  Welcome to the VIC (Boceprevir) club too!

Hrsepwr -- Itchy Scratchy Club!  LOL!!  Good one.
