Hi and welcome. I am on week 43 of 48 and have had VERY mild side effects. As others have said, the anxiety is often (though I know not always!) worse than the reality. All you can do is give it a "shot" and see what happens. Let us know. Best wishes.
flojo, I slept through most of the effects of the 1st shot. Did it an hr or so before bed. Got chills that woke me up more comical than painful, shook so hard I could barely get my sweatclothes on. Pretty tired the next day. After a few weeks I stopped worring about the shot, other than that I have it on hand, and do it!) I do 24/48 tonight. Hav egot through with relatively minor sides, still working and all. Just have some crappy days.
mom4two- hey congratulations. Kepp us updated through the first weeks, it may be helpful to those about to start to hear the 'live' commentary. And beside, we just really like you here.
GOOOOOOOOOF!!!!!!!!!!!
TELL ME IT AIN'T SO.!! Is this really the last time we do 'shots' together? Well Good for you my most honorable non lawn mowing, humor guru, and trusted keeper of the pine needles. Well belly up to the table my friend, one last toast, before we start the roast...
May your days be filled with joy,
May each moment shine like new,
May SVR be yours,
Thank YOU for helping me through.
Don
Hold up there Mr Longfellow (seems Big Chuck isn't known for his discretion) - I'm doing 26 for some odd reason. Number 24 is in the hole - two more to go.
But for now I'll leave you with this to cheer you on...
When it ain't a bed of clover
and your feeling in a rut
Roll your sunnyside right on over
and stab the next one in your butt
Hey - thanks for thinking of me, Don. It means a lot and I appreciate it. Must be PCR time for you? There's an ND in your cards. Just relax and let it stroll right on in.
At the risk of getting all mushy, I'm priviledged to have made your acquaintance. You're a source of inspiration for many here. Be well my friend.
I meant to mention, I was thinking this morning just how fortunate I am to be jumping off the bus early. Almost a pang of guilt, if you will, for bailing on those riding longer. I have special respect for the folks doing 48 and longer. And the multi-treaters, well I can't find the words to adequately describe your fortitude. We all walk away from this a little bit changed, don't we?
Be well everyone.
even if, as in my case, the changes are a hairier butt and a balding pate (this could be you, too, forsee ;-))
Hey Beamishboy my fine gentleman ,
How you feeling fella, you scare me sometimes when you don't feel good and then go mia for a day or 2. Hope your sx are easing.
I came across your comments down some threads, in the post hepatitus b and c blood tests
