Started Procrit last night, anyone else on it? How do you feel? Better?

Well, since starting Victrelis, my viral load is UND! Also, my HGB levels are 9.8, so my doc decided to start me on Procrit. I felt extremely weak the last few weeks, so I am hoping the Procrit will give me more energy.

Sorry your not feeling well  :(     yes, like NY girl said, with out the procrit many of us would not be able to do this treatment!  hang in there it will get better sooon!

I've been on procrit for awhile,  8 weeks.  At one point when I was on all three meds, I was feeling really bad and thought for sure it was my HGB, and my CBC showed over 10.  My point is you can still feel weak with fatigue and it may be the incevik or vic.  Although since that one time, and no longer on incevik, it is my HGB which I am struggling with.

Thank you guys. I have been sleeping all day with an unbearable migrane or headache, and a fever. The highest it has been is 101.5. I already took 3 advil, then another 2 and it doesn't seem to help much. I did injection #8 last night, and I have felt chills and aches for the last 26 hours. I hope it goes away, it's the weekend, so I can't csall my doctor.

Hi, congrats on undetected ! I'm on my third procrit injection.(I do every Wednesday ) my labs showed my HGB went from 9.1 to 10.1 in 3 weeks. I wouldn't say a huge improvement in how I feel. Better than getting worse I'm sure. Doc is keeping me on procrit with blood work every 2 weeks. I'm kind of freaked out he ordered another hcv PCR qnt last week. He says he wants to make sure I stay undetected from the 8 week results. Now I worry about breaking through. I'll know on the 10th. (week 11)
He feels strongly that I'm not to worry about reducing the RIBA. Started at 1000 down to 800 now down to 600. He says it isn't the RIBA that is doing the work, the victrelis is. If I'm undetected in this test and at 12 weeks he said he thinks I'll feel better if I drop it again to 1am and 1 pm. I'm all for feeling better. I still feel really crappy after my interferon day, which I moved to thursday night (w/dr ok) so I can make it to my church and yoga on Sunday. Missed last Sunday the first time in 11 weeks.

I started Procrit on Wednesday. My last HGB was 9.6.  It is rough.  I had never been in the 9s first treatment and it is hard to work.  I hope the procrit kicks in fast but I think we will have a couple more weeks of feeling lousy before it does.

Awesome news soooo happy for u. The procrit will help u, in the meantime take it slow and get plenty of rest

It will take you fromo 2 - 6 weeks to feel the effects of the Procrit.  You need to make sure you have a lot of CBCs drawn so you don't go over 12, that is the black box warning.

Great , news. How long have you been taking therapy and became UNDETECTABLE?, Which Geno are you? What was your viral load, how is your liver , what stage, etcetc....? Anyway, this is wonderfull , and we all hope you`ll stey there. Good luck to you!

Congratulations on being undetectable!  WOW!!  And you are only on week 7!  That is amazing!!  Sorry to hear that your HGB is down and that you have to take procrit...but like you said, it will give you more energy.  And you have not missed a day of work!  Way to go!!
