Hmm, I wonder if Boger specifying a 3 month treatment cycle is company/shareholder hype, or if he's claiming that based on his exclusive (yet undisclosed) knowledge of response rates observed so far amongst the 12 week (SOC+VX950) group?? I'm sure he has access to that information real-time, so hopefully his enthusiasm is based on that information and he isn't just putting on the hard sell. Also, the liberal and unconditonalized usage of the term "cure" is a little sensationalized, considering the current research suggesting (albeit not flatly proving) persistent virus in long term SVR's (even if it appears benign). Boger must be aware of those studies, so his lavish and unqualified usage of it does seem a bit over the top.

Oh well, lets hope for the best. And lets hope they'll FINALLY start releasing some VX prelim and long term SVR data once and for all!

he also says that 3-4 million people have HCV and the latest data shows if they live long enough "all" of them will develop cirrhosis. i wonder what data he was talking about? i have never heard that before, i thought many people could live with hcv and never get to cirrhosis.
