His level was 1.78 where cut off is 1.00 after treatment for 3 to 4 months with pegasy injectionand interferon tablet and was detected at 0.78 non reactive. Now after left of medicines for 3 months again his level is 1.13 where as cut off is 1.00. Now what should he do . Moreover as told by many people that hepatitis c is not totally cureable. what you describe from a medical perspective doesnt make any sense. somehow you have missed some of the details to his illness, treatment and blood tests. we cant help with the info given.

ill tell you this though, hep c is fully curable so that you dont have it
anymore and it never comes back.

sounds like you have posted his antibodies result which isn't the right test at this point. the only way to tell if someone has active HCV is a PCR test to measure viral load (how many HCV virons are in the blood). if this is the only tests ordered by his doctor then he should find a new doc ASAP!  make an appointment with a "hepatologist" (liver specialist)

Most people who go through treatment are sucessful with what is accomplished.  Their liver enzymes are at an acceptable level and the damage to their liver is stopped.  Even though these things happen during treatment they will always carry the HepC virus.  Maybe that's what you mean by not totally curable.  To me when my viral load stops going up and my liver isn't getting any worse, that means cured to me.  I don't understand the readings of the levels you have mentioned so give it an hour or so and someone will chime in to give you a better answer.  God Bless
