You might remember me

I stayed in the hospital for 17 days for hemolytic anemia due to ribavirin.  I had to take prednisone for 2 months to keep the anemia away after I got out the hospital.  I weaned off of it and now I am back on it because HGB dropped again.  So basically I am living through prednisone right now.  I had a total of 10 blood transfusions.

I was virus negative I month after I stopped medicine at 32 weeks.  I was virus negative at 3 months.  I just took a 6 months test yesterday.  Please wish me look.

I have one question,  Am I an early or late responder?  I did peg and ribavirin for 2 weeks.  After one  week of peg and ribavirin alone I was virus positive.  Incivek was added at 3 weeks.  4 weeks of taking triple therapy I was virus negative. Is this an early or late responder?

Well I am glad to be a little strong enough to be back on the board.  I will let you know what my 6 month test shows.

Ooo , so sorry to hear you are still not feeling well. I thinks that your chances of having your results back as UND are extremely good

Good question about EVR, I am in the same situation
Started with Riba and Pegasys, still positive at week 4, introduced Incivek and after 4 weeks of that I was UND

Still, going 48 weeks, completed 35, only 13 to go now but mainly at half dose

RVR - HCV RNA negative at tx week 4 by sensitive PCR based quantitative assay

EVR - >or= 2 log reduction in HCV RNA compared to baseline HCV RNA level (partial EVR) or HCV RNA neg @ tx wk 12 (complete EVR).

Nice to see you again.  Sounds like you have this is the bag :)
