Oops, happy fingers struck again (I am always touching the wrong button - oh well, I'll keep working on improving that).

As I was saying, we are here to listen, advise, care, and help in any way we can, sometimes just by being here so that you KNOW you are not alone.  As Bluemetal said, they will be releasing the Sol/led in Oct, and several others will be following in short order.

PLUS, we have MANY here who have had transplants and many who are waiting for transplants - people you can learn from and people you can share information with.  What a deal!  Nothing beats learning new things and sharing what you have to share, to help you feel better.

Please hang on, and keep on keeping on, one step at a time!

Oh, [manners, please, Pat : -)], welcome to the Forum.  I believe you will
fine the alleviation of your loneliness here and THAT can, ultimately lead to hope and a positive outlook!  Pat

Both Livelife and HippyHal have given you good advice, BUT DON'T go feeling guilty because you have this wonderful give and are depressed That is NOT what HH wants - he is giving you a wake up call to see that YOU can deal with the after math of the transplant and make yourself a great life.

You have had MAJOR Surgery.  Of course you are feeling lonely, let down and depressed BUT YOU can change that by getting some help woth the depression - sometimes as simple as a prescription - sometimes by reaching out to others - sometimes by exercise, walking is a great mood changer.  THEN, as you begin to feel better, you will feel better about youself and that will help you to be able to reach out to others who need a friend.

Call your Dr and tell him what you told us, so he can help ou get started on this path.  Know as kim said, that we are here to listen, advise, care, help

Nico..

I am also a recent transplant.. (Jan 24, 2014) and am on the Olysio/Sovaldi combo and currently no viral response at 4/8/12 weeks and taking an extra 30 days just to put a nail in it!

On one hand, I am sorry you are depressed and have no social life..  but I am wondering why?

You have just been given a gift that thousands of people desperately wait for every day.  Yesterday, 17 people died waiting for a liver.. today 17 people will die, tomorrow 17 people will die..  every day of the year!  Over 6,300 Americans die every year waiting for a liver..  with more being added every minute.

You have hit the Lottery!  You should wake up every morning and thank God for that day..  because it is a gift.

If you are depressed, see a doctor.  If you have no social life, go make one. Volunteer..  there are a lot of people worse off.  Who knows, you might even meet people volunteering that you can develop a social life.  Also, seeing and helping others worse off than you may help that depression.

Again, I am not making light of the depression..  but get treated.

Livelife above has great advise and a caring attitude that I wish I had more of..  but sometimes I also believe what we need is a kick in the pants and a change of attitude from someone else that is in the same boat.

Wow!   You've had a liver transplant?   We have several people that come onto this site daily whom have also had transplants.   A few have started treatment for their Hep C while others are waiting to treat.
Perhaps you could tell us a little more about your life and how your doing with your new liver.  I'm sure you must be grateful for being given the gift of life.
I also understand that when going thru a life altering event at times confusion or depression can be an unwelcomed event.  Just want you to know that we do understand and are here for you.

hang in there. the new treatment will be out in 1-2 months. Its for genotype 1a but I believe it will be prescribed for other genotypes as well. Since your a transplant recepient youll get priority, or at least you should.
