enlarged lymph nodes

by Soo, Aug 26, 1999 12:00AM
I am on behalf of someone very dear to me.
She is 28 yrs old single girl and has a painless enlarged lymph nodes around the neck since Nov 1998. In Nov 1998 a biopsy study showed a non-specific chronic lymphadinitis. An infectious mononucleosis test was also performed and proved negative. Blood tests results were normal.
Several months have elapsed and the enlargement has not decreased. Instead it is remaining quite constant in size but it is spreading slowly to armpits and legs.
Another biopsy study have been done recently in Aug 1999 and this proved negative with no abnormalities. Other tests of liver, hepatitis proved negative. Pelvic ultrasound and chest x-ray results are normal.
In Aug 1999, she had an Herpes Simplex Type 1 around the mouth and a gengivitis infection. Haemoglobin tests revealed a non alarming anemia but clinical opinion views this as a possible improper diet following loss of appetite associated with stress and anxiety. Patient received blood transfusion for immediate anemia cure.
Positive signs of patient:healing of minor laceration for slides removal is very good. Patient works eight hours daily without any abnormal tiredness. Appetite back to normal following long stress sustained with the enlarged lymph nodes since Nov 1998. Clinical prognosis is good.
Please help.
