Looking for a wonder drug..

I have had hep c for 14 years now, I haven't had any problems with it yet that I know of but if anyone knows of any new thing I can try to avoid what I see as inevitable future problems I'd really appreciate it. ..?

Hi and welcome
You really need to get an evaluation from a Hepatologist to get an indication as to where you are in this  disease.  I did not know that I even had Hep C until 2 years ago when I was hospitalized for an unrelated issue and also told I had Cirrhosis and the virus  Talk about shock!  I had zero symptoms and no idea.
There is treatment that can now cure Hep C.  It's of short duration and you only need to take a few pills to alleviate the problem.  What needs to be determined is if you already have liver disease.  Hopefully you may have an early stage or no damage without long term repercussions but you need to find out.  Not to scare you but this is nothing to fool around with especially a disease that now has a cure.
Read an interesting article regarding cirrhosis last night and that was up to 30% of people with Hep C do become cirrhotic.  Especially if they drink alcohol.  Many have no symptoms.
We are here to help you with treatment options and how to become cured.  Kinda an open book around here as no one judges others or their lifestyles.  We are all in the same boat trying our best to live a healthy and illness free life.
Take Care
....Kim

I just finished sovaldi with olyssio and...... I cleared the virus! It's 12 weeks you have to work with a liver doc that can get funding for you!  You are so smart to realize you need to get rid of the virus BEFORE damage is done!

There are several new similar drugs coming out, but these are available now.

Good luck and please follow through! Dbz
