Avoid Tylenol it's processed in the liver. Ibuprofen and aleve are processed by the Kidneys.
Call your doctor. Get the pills. You might not need em later, but maybe you do now. drink lots of water. Eat a fatty meal with your pills and get rest. If U get bone and or joint pain tylenol or alieve works. heating pad would help if you have one. hot bath etc...Stay on the forum and everyone will help you get through it. I hope your not alone?? Maybe it is good thing to have sx (side effects) so soon.
im in the early stages,if this is thing s to come, help!!!!! positive thinking,
I'm on week 39 (of 48) and for me the depression did get worse to the point of having to change antidepressant dosage till about week 20, and then it leveled off and hasn't gotten any worse since then.

what foods did you avoid during tx? thank u.
its a lifestyle changer!!
For me the sides all come in waves. I dont have anything I can pin point as "consistent", but I have had pretty much all the symtoms (except the really deadly ones of course) throughout the last 22 weeks (I have 26 to go!) Depression and agression seem to come in phases, not every week, and not even right after the shots?? I guess we are all different..
Hi,,if you are currently treating, and you are feeling depressed, you should definitely let your dr. know. I found that 8 wks into tx, depression really hit and I started taking an antidepressant which really helped. The drugs can do weird things, however, not every person reacts the same way.
Please stay in touch and let us all know how you are feeling.
Hi, are you normally depressed? Personally I never have been ( just lucky) Although it is disturbing to get diognoised w/ a disease! For your comfort I offer, I feel no need to mess w/ those pills for depression yet! But I do believe for those that need them to cope. It is the right thing to do. I know lots of people who take them and they take them w/ or without having Hep C... There are many of us who do not need them. And there are many of us who do, be it from life or TX, or the combination...
"a constant state of sadness. I didn't feel well, didn't feel like doing much of anything. Life had no joy. For me it was a jail sentence which I knew would end."
My experience exactly. It didn't seem to get worse. I only went for 24 weeks, and the apparent increase in fatigue as the weeks wore on were counter-balanced by knowing that I was getting closer and closer to finishing.
Many people on tx take antidepressants and find them helpful. I was depressed during my 13 weeks of tx. Personally I don't do well with antidepressants. This is how I coped: I was able to recognize my feeling "not happy" and I accepted it. I had to watch my bad attitude at work and remind myself not to get upset over small things. If you are depressed you should discuss this with your MD. You may benefit from medications. A serious side effect from tx drugs for HCV is depression and even suicide. For me I accepted a constant state of sadness. I didn't feel well, didn't feel like doing much of anything. Life had no joy. For me it was a jail sentence which I knew would end. That was just 13 weeks.
Hi there...are you currently treating? Everyone reacts differently to the meds, some (like myself) are fortunate to have no depression issues) ! I am sure others will chime in with their experience's.
Good Luck
