hcv and intestinal flora

I have been wondering if there is any documentation on HCV and it's possible effect on bacterial overgrowth in the intestine.
Also interested in the possible symptoms of such overgrowth and how one might reduce it.

There's been a lot of education from HR on the benefit of modifying the flora by used of prebiotics and probiotics as one prong in a strategy of protecting the liver. I don't recall hearing that the Hep got things out of whack... only that we're well served to keep them in whack.
