I used a TENs unit when I had back pain. It helped me quite a bit for about 8 months until it was finally discovered that I had a ruptured disk pressing on my sciatic nerve. I had to have surgery
Soaking in epsom salts can help as well as taking magnesium to help relax the muscles
Good luck

Thank for posting this. I'm going to check into it.

During tx I had aches pains, with doctor approval I took calcium, magnesium. Good luck Dee
Advil, Alleve, Motrin, ect are all in the same family of ibuprofen and can be toxic if you have any form of liver disease. These over the counter meds are well known to cause excessive bleeding as does aspirin. Should you have varicies particularly you must use with caution.
Your Dr should be the only one recommending which pain relievers to use.
Thankfully the pain comes and goes and with 1 month remaining, your almost at the finish line!

Thanks all of u for your comments. I posted that I'm using Advil by mistake, I actually use Aleve. My left hand/wrist is much better today(Monday). Seems these aches/pain are temporary, this one lasted 3 days. Well, 1 month to go. ONWARD for all of us.
I am definitely experiencing the same kind of aching, fatigue and shortness of breath now that I'm on week 6 of Harvoni only. The aches ease with some stretching and activity and I can still function well. Very mild side effects compared to interferon but Harvoni is still a very powerful drug combo.
Hi Usar
Just beginning my second week of Harvoni/Riba
Definitely have greater fatigue, muscle and joint aches and pain and headache
Though in my case, the Riba may be causing some of these sides
I also have been So tired that I need to nap during the day that is pretty unusual for me
Careful with the Advil - it's terrible for your liver. Best to try a small amount of acetaminophen and a nice bath for aches I think - and drink lots of water

You can buy one on Amazon for about 30 bucks or some doctors will loan you one (you can check one out at Kaiser like at a library). You ight also be able to buy one at a local pharmacy or medical supply place
It seems to provide some relief from pain
Hope that helps.
Just keep your eyes on the prize and these sides will seem like nothing at all once you've achieved SVR

Hi usar and sorry that your having issues. Personally have not done Harvoni but notice it effects everyone differently. Some feel renewed with tons of energy while others suffer from fatigue.
It sounds like you are also suffering from inflammation of the joints as well. This is a side effect that you may want to pass onto your Dr just to be sure nothing else is going on. When we are on treatment we tend to blame the meds on every ache and pain when in fact it could be other contributing factors.
Hopefully others will jump in and offer their list of side effects on Harvoni. One thing I do know is that it's an awesome drug, and we are all so lucky to have it.
